THA Complications
A 72-year-old woman presents with 18 months of progressive left groin pain. She underwent cemented THA 15 years ago for osteoarthritis with a metal-on-polyethylene bearing. Pain is worse with activity and relieved by rest. X-rays show circumferential radiolucent lines around the acetabular component greater than 2mm, progression compared to 2-year post-operative films, and periacetabular osteolytic lesions.
