Hindfoot Trauma
A 35-year-old roofer falls 4 meters from a ladder, landing on his heels. He presents with bilateral heel pain and swelling. Examination reveals ecchymosis extending to the sole of the feet. Lateral X-rays show decreased Böhler's angle (10° on the right, 15° on the left; normal 25-40°). CT scan of the right heel shows a comminuted fracture involving the posterior facet of the subtalar joint with three articular fragments and lateral wall blowout.
