Lisfranc Injury

Midfoot Injuries

A 35-year-old man twists his foot while stepping off a curb. He presents with midfoot pain and swelling and is unable to bear weight. On examination, there is plantar ecchymosis and tenderness over the tarsometatarsal joint. Weight-bearing radiographs show 3mm widening between the first and second metatarsal bases.
