Midfoot Injuries
A 32-year-old man presents after a low-energy twisting injury while playing soccer. He has midfoot pain, swelling, and cannot bear weight. Plain radiographs show 3mm of widening between the first and second metatarsal bases with a small avulsion fragment between them. Weight-bearing radiographs of the contralateral foot are normal.
