Midfoot Disorders
A 48-year-old woman presents with 2 years of progressive midfoot pain following a missed Lisfranc injury from a fall. She has difficulty walking on uneven surfaces and wearing heeled shoes. Examination reveals a painful, stiff midfoot with tenderness at the TMT joints and flattening of the longitudinal arch. Weight-bearing radiographs show loss of the normal arch, TMT joint space narrowing, and osteophytes at the first and second TMT joints. Regarding midfoot arthritis:
