Ankle Pathology
A 22-year-old professional ballet dancer presents with 6 months of posterior ankle pain exacerbated by going en pointe (maximal plantarflexion). She reports no specific injury but notes the pain has progressively worsened. On examination, there is tenderness posterior to the ankle and pain with forced passive plantarflexion.
