Hand Tumors
A 38-year-old woman presents with a 3-year history of severe paroxysmal pain in her right ring finger. The pain is exacerbated by cold exposure and light touch. She avoids shaking hands and cannot tolerate cold water. Examination reveals exquisite point tenderness over the ulnar aspect of the nail bed. There is no visible mass, but a faint bluish discolouration is noted beneath the nail. Radiograph of the finger is normal. Regarding this presentation:
