Trigger Finger Treatment

Tendon Disorders

A 55-year-old diabetic woman presents with painful clicking of her right ring finger that has progressively worsened over 3 months. She now has difficulty extending the finger after making a fist and sometimes has to manually straighten it. Examination reveals tenderness over the A1 pulley at the metacarpal head and palpable snapping during finger flexion and extension. The finger does not lock in flexion.
