Thumb Injuries
A 28-year-old skier presents after falling with her ski pole still in hand. She has pain and swelling over the ulnar aspect of her thumb MCP joint. On examination, there is tenderness at the ulnar MCP joint with increased laxity to valgus stress at 30 degrees of flexion (10mm opening vs 3mm on uninjured side). There is no firm endpoint.
