Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip Management

Pediatric Hip

A 6-week-old infant girl is referred for evaluation of hip instability. She was born at term via breech presentation to a first-time mother with a family history of DDH. On examination, the left hip has a positive Ortolani sign (palpable clunk on reduction) but negative Barlow sign. The right hip is stable.
