Monteggia Fracture-Dislocation

Forearm Injuries

A 7-year-old boy falls onto his outstretched hand while playing on a trampoline. He presents with a painful, swollen forearm held in pronation. Radiographs of the forearm show an apex anterior ulna fracture at the junction of the proximal and middle thirds.
