Oblique Talus

Pediatric Foot

A newborn is referred for evaluation of bilateral rigid flatfoot deformity noted at birth. Clinical examination shows convex plantar surface ("rocker-bottom"), forefoot abduction, and hindfoot equinus. Forced dorsiflexion does not correct the forefoot position. Lateral weight-simulated radiographs show the navicular articulating with the dorsal aspect of the talus with no change in talar axis on forced plantarflexion.
