Foot Deformities
A 12-year-old boy presents with bilateral rigid flatfeet and activity-related hindfoot pain worse over the past 6 months. He has a family history of similar foot problems. On examination, the longitudinal arch is absent and does not reconstitute on tiptoe standing. There is restricted subtalar motion with pain on forced inversion. The peroneal muscles are in spasm.
