Spina Bifida - Orthopaedic Management

Neuromuscular Conditions

A 6-year-old child with spina bifida (myelomeningocele) is referred to the orthopaedic clinic. The child has an L3-L4 neurological level with preserved quadriceps function but absent hamstrings and below-knee motor function. The child currently ambulates with KAFOs and a walker.
