Pediatric Knee Trauma
A 10-year-old boy falls from his bicycle with a twisting mechanism to his knee. He presents with a large hemarthrosis, inability to fully extend the knee, and anterior knee pain. Lachman test demonstrates increased anterior translation compared to the opposite side. Radiographs reveal an avulsion fracture of the tibial intercondylar eminence with approximately 5mm of displacement. The fragment appears rotated but not completely separated.
