Toddler Fracture

Lower Limb Trauma

A 2-year-old boy is brought to the emergency department because he refuses to bear weight on his right leg since yesterday. His mother reports he was playing at a playground and may have tripped but there was no significant fall. He is afebrile and otherwise well. Examination shows a non-toxic child who refuses to stand on the right leg but moves it freely when lying down. There is minimal swelling and no obvious deformity.
