Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome

Overuse Injuries

A 22-year-old female recreational runner presents with 6 weeks of diffuse pain along the posteromedial aspect of both distal tibias. The pain is worse at the beginning of runs, improves during activity, but returns afterward. She recently increased her weekly mileage by 40% for marathon training.
