Patellofemoral Instability Treatment

Knee Injuries

An 18-year-old female dancer presents with recurrent left patellar dislocations. She has had 4 dislocations in the past 2 years, all reducing spontaneously. MRI shows a torn medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL), trochlear dysplasia (Dejour Type B), increased TT-TG distance of 22mm, and patella alta (Insall-Salvati ratio 1.4).
