A 28-year-old man is brought to the emergency department after a motorcycle accident. He has a grossly deformed knee with obvious dislocation that was reduced at the scene. On examination, the limb is pale and cool with absent dorsalis pedis and posterior tibial pulses. Ankle-brachial index is 0.6. He has no sensation in the foot. Time since injury is 2 hours.
