Iliac Wing Fractures

Pelvic Trauma

A 45-year-old motorcyclist presents after a side-impact collision with direct trauma to his right pelvis. He has pain over the iliac crest and is hemodynamically stable. Radiographs show an isolated comminuted fracture of the iliac wing without involvement of the acetabulum or pelvic ring. There is no evidence of pelvic ring disruption on CT scan.
