Elbow Trauma
A 65-year-old woman falls directly onto her flexed elbow. She presents with posterior elbow swelling, tenderness over the olecranon, and inability to actively extend the elbow against gravity. Radiographs reveal a displaced transverse fracture through the olecranon with 8mm of separation. The coronoid process and radial head appear intact, and the elbow is stable with no dislocation.
