Fracture Management
A 32-year-old motorcyclist is brought to the emergency department after a road traffic accident. He has a severely contaminated tibial shaft fracture with a 12cm wound, significant soft tissue stripping, and exposed bone. The limb is viable with intact dorsalis pedis pulse.
