Lower Limb Trauma
A 55-year-old woman is struck by a car while crossing the street. She has left knee pain and swelling with inability to bear weight. Examination reveals a tense hemarthrosis. Radiographs show a lateral tibial plateau fracture with significant articular depression but no obvious split component.
