Knee Trauma
A 55-year-old woman is struck by a car while crossing the road, sustaining a valgus force to her right knee. She presents with significant knee swelling and inability to weight bear. Radiographs show a lateral tibial plateau fracture with depression of the articular surface and a separate lateral split component.
