Distal Humerus Fractures
An 82-year-old woman with osteoporosis falls at home, landing on her outstretched hand. She presents with a swollen, painful left elbow held in flexion. X-rays reveal a displaced intra-articular distal humerus fracture with involvement of both columns and the trochlea. The fracture line is at the level of the olecranon fossa, with significant comminution of the supracondylar region. The fracture is classified as AO/OTA type 13C3.
