Soft Tissue Sarcomas
A 32-year-old woman presents with a slowly growing mass on the plantar aspect of her foot, attached to the Achilles tendon. It has been present for 2 years and has recently become painful. MRI shows a 4cm mass intimately associated with the tendon. Biopsy reveals nests of cells with clear cytoplasm, melanin pigment, and positive immunostaining for S100 and HMB-45.
