Pelvic Tumors
A 52-year-old male presents with a large pelvic mass. Biopsy confirms high-grade chondrosarcoma arising from the ilium and extending into the sacroiliac joint. Staging shows no metastatic disease. MRI demonstrates the tumor involves the entire iliac wing and extends to the acetabulum but does not involve the sciatic nerve or major vessels. The oncology team is discussing surgical options.
