Proximal Humerus Fractures
A 72-year-old woman with osteoporosis presents after a fall onto her outstretched hand. She has severe shoulder pain with inability to move her arm. Radiographs show a comminuted proximal humerus fracture with the humeral head displaced medially and angulated greater than 45 degrees, the greater tuberosity displaced superiorly by 1.5cm, and the shaft displaced anterolaterally.
